Our ancestors belonged to Gor Banjara community known for its rich culture and traditions which had enabled them to enjoy a close knit family and community life. They were mainly traders moving from place to place, transporting anything from grains to precious metals. This had not only kept them away from education, later, industrialisation and railways took away their means of living. R.R.Naik Seva Trust is named after our father Late Dr. L. Rudra Naik, who happened to be the only literate person among the entire family, hence giving us all a new life. He believed that apart from preserving our rich culture and traditions, education should be a basic right for every human being especially for those who have been kept away from the civilization.
